Team Leader

Main Purpose of Post:

You will be responsible for organising and leading a team to ensure the successful delivery of learner enrolment targets in the contact centre.

To provide leadership towards the achievement of enrolments guaranteeing conversion rates, eligibility and quality targets are met.
Responsible for the coaching, development and performance of all engagement activities in the contact centre.

Main Duties:

1. Set targets for contact centre operators in accordance with the course schedules.

2. Achieve monthly/quarterly targets communicated by Management including learner enrolment, retention and progression.

3. Coach, motivate and support staff through a coaching culture. Deliver the required volume of effective call monitoring both silent and side by side. Conduct one-to-one coaching sessions with your contact centre operators to understand training and development needs, improve quality and work towards and implement best practice.

4. Maximise productivity using dialler statistics to coach staff.

5. Prepare action plans for individuals as well as the team to ensure course learner numbers are delivered.

6. Measure and monitor the specific contact centre KPIs and provide timely feedback to management regarding performance.

7. Liaise with Divisional managers to ensure course quotas are met.

8. Motivate the sales and quality performance of the team using a variety of incentives

9. Manage data provision on the dialler to ensure minimum down-time and maximum enrolements

10. Communicate to team via daily buzz sessions.

11. Recommend and implement operational improvements

12. Accurate updating of electronic and paper systems in accordance with Quality Assurance Framework and Data Protection

13. To ensure that the highest standards of data quality are achieved and maintained for the collection, management and use of data

14. To ensure personal/sensitive information is collected, recorded and disposed of in a responsible and timely fashion

15. Undertake local and regional relevant marketing activities designed to increase business

16. Contribute ideas to enhance the Marketing Mix

Team Tutor (Employability) ((Associate)

Main Purpose of Post:

To work with unemployed adults and contribute to the employability/Skilled for Life teaching and learning programmes across the company
To provide a high quality learning experience for learners and move them into/nearer the workplace.

Main Duties:

1. To undertake allocated teaching duties across Entry Level, Level 1 and Level 2 employability programmes

2. To accurately assess learner competence and contribute to the internal verification process.

3. Act as Course Tutor, which will include learning and teaching, assessment, monitoring and evaluation, advice and guidance, learner tracking, record-keeping and related administrative duties.

4. To provide a stimulating and interactive approach to learning in the classroom.

5. Work as part of the curriculum delivery team to maintain a high quality of provision, retention, attainment and achievement

6. Contribute to the divisional objectives and ensure that contracts are delivered to target and on time

7. Contribute to the Quality Assurance functions, including internal and external observations of teaching and learning, validations, self assessment reviews, audits and inspections

8. Take responsibility for maintaining working standards/operations which comply with Health & Safety regulations

Tutor Team Leader

Reporting to: Tutor manager

Salary Range: £23000 plus performance related pay

Summary of the Post:

To act as team leader to a divisional team of tutors, embed e-achieve learning and teaching processes and monitor their effectiveness to ensure that learners receive a high standard of learning and teaching so that they complete their programmes of study and achieve.

Main Duties:

• Provide line management, training and development opportunities for a team of tutors

• Facilitate team meetings and CPD that focus on development and improvement

• Embed effective processes to support learners in being successful

• To communicate effectively with e-achieve management and external agencies with regard to learner achievement

• Monitor overall retention of learners

• Carry out robust audit of tutorial systems

• Monitor staff and learner attendance and punctuality

• Use eSTRIVE or other management systems to identify at-risk learners

• To broker pastoral support and guidance for academic and personal issues to aid retention and progression

• Liaise with tutor, administration and support staff to ensure information flow

• Monitor the support that is given to learners to complete the PLP, set targets and review

• Review, develop and refine course materials (e.g. SoW, LP) to ensure that assessment objectives are delivered effectively

• Support the introduction of new courses by managing staff induction and training

• Any other duties commensurate with the grade

These duties may be amended from time to time by the line manager in consultation with the post holder.

Specific Duties:

The tutor team leader will monitor retention and attainment of learners on all taught courses within their division. The appointed person would be expected to hold meetings with the tutor team and set targets and/or deadlines where relevant.

Line Management:

The tutor team leader line manages the tutor team within the division to which they are appointed. They are line managed by the Tutor Manager.

Method of Working:

e-achieve expects all staff to work effectively as part of a team, delivering high quality training and support to staff and learners. As a minimum this requires dealing with people politely and tactfully, communicating with colleagues and learners both formally and informally, offering training, guidance and information in accordance with company guidelines, polices and procedures when requested and contributing to the maintenance of the e-achieve environment. In order to do this staff are expected to make themselves aware of the relevant polices and procedures. All staff are required to maintain confidentiality as required.

Public Relations:

Considerable importance is attached to the public relations aspect of all work undertaken by e-achieve staff. It is a prime objective therefore that staff will at all times project to the public a positive and proactive image of the company.
